苗栗縣獅潭鄉位處內山，自民國60年代起因加工業興起，人口外移明顯，至今仍為全縣人口最少的行政區，但客家人口比例逾九成，展現鮮明客庄文化。獅潭歷經原住民居住、馬偕傳教、漢人開墾與日治資源開發等多重歷史階段，累積深厚底蘊。其中，王家創立的小美園劇團最具代表性，於日治大正11年由王德循創辦，短時間內聲名遠播，為客家戲曲留下精彩篇章。豐富的人文發展與藝術傳承，共同形塑獅潭獨特而動人的文化風貌。
